Here we are, with our backpacks packed, completely ready for our big departure today. At the moment I am writing this we are about to leave for Düsseldorf airport.
After many frantic attempts to get everything in my backpack, I finally succeeded. We had to leave a lot of things behind, but we still have enough that comes with us!
The last two weeks we had a very nice time. We had a day with friends, 2 photo shoots with the families, a day out with Manon’s family and a day out with the ‘Wegwerkers’ (the friends of Bram). Thanks to everyone who have made it such a great time in the last few weeks!
It’s time to say goodbye, but I think goodbyes are sad and I’d much rather say hello. Hello to a new adventure.
And last Friday of course we had our farewell party. This was a really successful party! It was pretty busy, the room was packed. Almost all friends were there and it was great to have a good party with real friends!
Of course we have also prepared a lot lately. Buying the last things, doctor’s and hairdresser’s appointments and of course packing. It stays difficult to put everything in 1 backpack for such a long time. I prefer to take everything with me, but unfortunately that is not possible ?
And now we’re really going to leave the beautiful Rooi and NL! It remains double. Of course we are really looking forward to it, but it is still sad to leave family and friends behind … especially after we have done such nice things with everyone lately. We are going to miss you !! And if you do not forget us, then we will certainly not forget you!
How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.
Our plane departs from Düsseldorf today at 14.40 and then we will land in Dubai at 00.15.
For now, really: see you all! Who knows, maybe we will see someone during our travels (because you can of course always visit us), and otherwise:
we will be back, but for how long is the question ?
Goodbyes are not forever, goodbyes are not the end. They simply mean I’ll miss you, until we meet again.
