Phu Quoc is a tropical island south of Vietnam. The island has some of Vietnams best beaches and you can find many resorts all around the coast. One of these resorts is Nam Nghi Resort, which, with its luxury, is one of the best resorts we ever stayed at! Why? Keep reading and you’ll find out!

Nam Nghi Resort Phu Quoc

Nam Nghi Resort is located on Phu Quoc island, on a private peninsula! A beautiful pool and 2 private beaches on the mainland make this place already awesome, but there is more: A private island close to the shore! As soon as we stepped out of the taxi we were amazed by the beautiful resort.

Check-In

Upon arrival, we were greeted by the friendly staff. One of the staff members sat down with us to explain everything about the resort and all its facilities while enjoying a welcome drink and fruit. After the smooth check-in, we were guided to our room.

The Room

Nam Nghi resort has many options to stay in with several ocean view rooms in the hotel, and some beautiful villa’s with ocean or garden views spread out over the peninsula. We were staying in a ‘King Bed Ocean View’ room to start with. The room was spacious, had a beautiful view from the balcony and a lovely bath! It was the little details that made it even more special, like our name on the tv, complimentary fruit and all the small toiletries in the bathroom. What’s also pretty cool (and funny) is that there’s a second telephone next to the toilet, to make sure you never run out of toilet paper! Now, that’s good thinking!;)

After one night, we were upgraded to the ‘King Bed Ocean View Deluxe’ room. This room was even more spacious and had a corner balcony with a great view over the ocean and the pool. The sunset view from this balcony was really amazing!

Facilities

There is no shortage of facilities at all at Nam Nghi Resort. First of all, there is a beautiful infinity pool looking over the beach at the west side of the peninsula, which means the sunset is great over here. Enough beds and umbrellas are provided at the pool and the beach. There is a second beach on the east side too. For some quality relaxing and wellness time, a visit to the spa is a must. Furthermore, there is a gym, a kids club, and daily activities organised.

Own Private Island

Yes, that’s right, Nam Nghi resort has their own private island! Close to the shore, there is an island with a nice beach and a preserved reef just in front of it. The island also has it’s own bar/restaurant: The Rock Island Club. You can visit the island by pontoon boat, or grab a kayak while exploring the surroundings from the water. Oh, and these kayaks and snorkel gear are free to rent!

Restaurants & Bars

At Nam Nghi resort there are plenty of options to fuel your inner self. With 4 restaurants/bars you’ll have plenty of options for food and drinks. There is a pool bar, which serves food as well, that is located next to the pool. You can find the Rock Island Club on the private island and the Treehouse is found at the end of the peninsula, with views over the ocean and the private island. In the main building is another great restaurant. This last one is also the place where breakfast is served, and let us tell you: this breakfast was of another level! Never had we seen so much breakfast! Over 40 meters of buffet with pancakes, bread, sweets, eggs, pasta, soup, Asian food, fruit and more. You name it: it’s there. It was the best breakfast we ever had!

Nam Nghi Resort Breakfast

Location

Nam Nghi Resort is located on the North West side of Phu Quoc about 30 km from the airport, and 20 km from the town center. It is only 5 km to Vin Pearl land, and the best thing: it is right at the beach!
