When you are able to work on the move, it means you can travel anywhere in the world and still earn enough. The issue with this is that your bucket list is never ending — with the freedom to go anywhere, you’ll want to see the whole world!
Mexico is one place that looks fantastic, with delicious food, fascinating culture, and incredible history it really is somewhere worth visiting, but where in Mexico should you go?
Playa del Carmen
If you’re looking for somewhere to party, Playa del Carmen is the perfect place to go! You’ll find lively bars, cool nightclubs, crystal clear waters, and beautiful beaches. Plus, the thriving expat community means that the local flavors are really varied. You’re not likely to find a lot in the way of traditions, historical relics or culture in Playa del Carmen but you can’t beat it for relaxation or a party vibe.
Guadalajara
Guadalajara is the perfect place for anyone who wants to learn more about Mexican culture and history. You will be spoilt for choice with museums and cultural sites, that will give you plenty of things to do during the day. However, when dark falls you’ll see another side to Guadalajara. Mariachi and tequila were both born in this city you can enjoy a party too!
Mexico City
60% of travelers say they gain at least two kilos on holiday and if you visit Mexico City you will find yourself as one of them! Once a place of high crime rates, the city has recently undergone a big transformation and is now popular with foodies and hipsters, as well as those wanting to visit the museums to learn more about Mexican culture and heritage. It might take a few years for perceptions to change fully about this city, so get in before the tourism boom!

Los Cabos
Encompassing the towns of Cabo San Lucas, San José del Cabo, and the Resort Corridor, this municipal has sunshine 350 days a year. Yep, really! So, it’s no surprise that it’s popular with surfers, divers, fishermen, and golfers. The views across the water are absolutely stunning, as are those under the water!

Cancun
Of course, it wouldn’t be a list of amazing Mexican destinations without featuring Cancun. Known as the resort capital of Mexico, those who seek luxury will often be found here, in one of the all-inclusive resorts or timeshares. However, if you wander a little further out into the city you will be greeted by locals going about their daily lives. Here the prices are cheaper and the food is more authentic so it is certainly worth a trip out of the hotel or resort bubble once or twice!
As you can see, there are so many different parts of Mexico, each offering something a little different. Make sure you do your research before you book to ensure you’re getting exactly what you want — whether it’s culture and great food, or a stunning beach and wild nightlife. Where would you recommend in Mexico? Or where would you most like to visit from our list? Let us know in the comments!
